There have always been school trips. This one, from Bockhampton School obviously had room for parents as well. Off to Weymouth for the day? 1926/7

The Photograph above of cyclists outside the old post office at Lower Bockhampton dates, we believe, from pre-First World War days. Note the school railings above the wall on the left hand side of the picture, and the tunnel effect of the tries up Bockhampton Lane. This photograph from 1930 is of Housemaids and Gardeners who served the Hanbury family at Kingston Maurward House. Thy have all been identified.
